The History of Spell Casting
Through the ages and within every culture older wise women have passed down their knowledge and skills of healing herbs, medicinal plants, phases of the moon and sun, the alignment of the stars and other natural phenomenon to younger generations.

The Interpretation and Meaning of King of Cups
The King of Cups is part of my Tarot Card Meanings series...
The King of Cups is one of the Court cards in the suit of Cups in the Minor Arcana of the Tarot.
All the Kings of each of the four suits in the Tarot often indicate an actual person. The Kings are often said to characterise the quality of a mature, wise man. He is mature but expresses it through authority and assertiveness. You know where you stand with the King, for he says exactly what's on his mind. Kings have passion and drive and don’t hold back in offering their advice. They are concerned with results, outcomes and consequences.
The King of Cups Tarot card meaning usually relates to sensitivity, generosity and acting in considerate and compassionate ways.
The King of Cups can be a positive card in Tarot Readings and shows that your emotional responses can be controlled in a mature, diplomatic and harmonious manner to benefit everyone. Physically this card describes a man with fair or brown hair with brown or blue eyes.
The King of Cups, as with all the Court cards can be a representative of an individual or aspect of a personality. The meaning for this card can symbolise an old fashioned man with old-fashioned ideas. He is kind, gentle, affectionate and very loving. His family means everything to him; for them he'll work very hard and make sacrifices for them. He would lay down his life to protect them and keep them from harm. His faults are that he is he's too soft and sentimental.
When this card appears in Tarot Readings concerned with love and romance it usually indicates positive outcomes. This can mean finding someone loving, caring and compassionate for singles or deepening and strengthening the bonds of love in an existing relationship.
For some this card can indicate a proposal of marriage will be offered.
The Tarot card meaning for questions concerning career or business in Tarot Readings often represents a need to act compassionately and offer care and consideration to all those you work with. Build bridges and work cooperatively and everyone will benefit.
The King of Cups Tarot card meaning for questions related to money and finance can show a need to be generous. No matter how small your budget is you can find enough to share.
When this card appears in Tarot Readings concerning health and well being it urges a need to care for yourself and face responsibility for any actions you take. If you know that bad habits, toxic substances or lack of nutrition, restful sleep or exercise is impacting upon your health then this card acts as warning to do something about it.
If the King of Cups is prominent in a Tarot Spread it can show a need for diplomacy and tact to resolve a situation. You will need to act in a harmonious and compassionate way and see all consequences of decisions and choices and their emotionally impact on yourself and others.
