War dreams

Well, since my teenage years through to my adulthood, I have many dreams of war.

I will dream of military tanks coming into my neighborhood, and I dream of being specifically captured by whoever the enemy is. Usually they spoke in different languages that I could not understand, and they would be yelling at me.

The most frightening dream I had was when I was being captured and I was looking for a matching pair of shoes for me to wear because my feet were bare. As I was searching for the shoes from this bin an officer approached me from the back and began yelling at me in a foreign language. He had a pistol and pointed the gun at the back of my head. My boyfriend happened to be standing in front of me, just shocked. I could feel the pistol touching my head in my dream and I thought I was going to die, right in front of my boyfriend.

I remember feeling all the emotions of someone who was in a situation like that could feel. I was scared for my life. I woke before I had any chance of dying in my dream. I remember being so scared, and thinking I was really going to get shot in the head. Just describing this dream, I can still feel how it felt to have a gun pointed directly on the back of my scalp.
