Herbal Elixirs of the Minor Arcana: Suit of Pentacles

The earth element is represented in the Tarot Minor Arcana by the Suit of Pentacles. Money, possessions and work make up the earth element. Being unstable in your finances shows an imbalance in earth energy, so does not being able to hold and keep a job. On a physical level, stomach upset, heartburn and constipation also exhibit a blockage in ones earth element in the body. The herbal elixirs in this section assist us in bringing into balance the earth within us and the earth outside of us. Suit of PentaclesAce of PentaclesWarm rice milk and honey. The Goddess nurtures my inner needs and desires. Two of Pentacles Yellow dock and Oregon grape root. Boil one half pound of crushed root in two pints of water, then add half pint of blackstrap molasses. Take one or two teaspoons two or three times a day. Nine of Pentacles Grapes, raspberries and leaf with red wine. I am open to the abundance that my labor and talents provide. Ten of Pentacles Wild yam, black haw, cramp bark with brandy. I share my talents and skills with the community. My will is aligned with spirit. I feel abundance and prosperity of my life and fully embrace it. Page of Pentacles Blue flag, milk thistle and dandelion with glycerin. I am open to the new skills and creative endeavours that are being revealed to me by the Great Earth Mother. Knight of Pentacles Elecampane, thyme and vodka. I am loyal, steadfast and reliable, working as a teacher or teaching by example. I created the vision and now Im following it. Queen of Pentacles Marshmallow and spring water. I am the Earth Mother incarnate; I remove grief, fear and other harsh emotions and replace with love and compassion. I feel the joy of being on the earth. I am nurtured and nurture others with my bliss. King of Pentacles Alfalfa, nettles and vodka. I am master of the workings of the world. I achieve my goals, manage finances and values while being grounded and responsible for my earthly existence. I see the earth as a forum for spiritual growth. I work with the earth and all her gifts to see more clearly the manifestation of my spiritual self.
