One Day In The Army

Back in 1993 to 1996 I was in the United States Army. I was serving at Fort Sill in Oklahoma.
In December of 1993 I had a dream where I was working in what was called a training office and I had to run down to the motor pool to get Sergeant Freeman, because of an emergency with one of his sons. It was one those dreams that seemed way too realistic. I remember the sense of being out of breath and not feeling good. I remember feeling like I was physically unable to move like a normal person would. I remember the dream took place during a summer month. I remember dreaming that I was unhealthy for some reason and I also remember dreaming about Sergeant Freeman and his son specifically.
Now, you only work in the training room because of medical issues. They put you in that office to work because of medical conditions that might make you unfit for normal duty. Well that July I was reassigned to the training room like in my dream. I was also sick with something called crohn's disease. Now I didn't dream about the crohn's disease specifically but I did dream about not feeling well. Then one day I got a call from one of the local schools with a message for Sergeant Freeman. One of his boys had gotten hurt in school and he needed to come home right away. The whole scenario played out like it did in my dream down to a tee. All I could think of was deja vu.
