Mrs. Ball is Still Here
by Lucinda Clune
(Port Gibson MS USA)
Mrs. Ball still lives in my home.
She loves to play games with me. Turning a light on when I know I just turned it off. Opening the kitchen cabinets. Coming in the front door saying in a soft voice "Hello I'm home." Hearing the door open and close. She did die here in the house on the back porch and I've seen her on more than one occasion.
My husband will ask me in the morning if I pulled the covers up on him, or did I touch him on the back, knowing he was looking at me at the time it happened. Her grandson lives next door to us and he asks me about her sometimes. She is also a distant relative of mine. So no, I'm not afraid of her or any of the others that I see.
I have had several encounters with my bother-in-law that died of cancer.
I also live in a very active Civil War area I do have a hard time in some of the older homes in my area.
