Congratulations, you have entered the final doorway! In this article I will give you more insight in to the world of fairies and if your heart is pure, fairies will come in your dreams and act as your spirit guides. I have seen two flower fairies that I’ve met in my astral dreams. I don’t know their names yet but I’m sure that will come with time.
Fairy History
Early fairy history shows that the belief in the existence of fairies was first known and is based on the fae of medieval Western European folklore. Fairies history often identifies a variety of other beings from other mythologies.
Fairy history shows some of the theories that speculate on the origins of these fantastic little creatures:
1. They are un-baptized souls.
2. They are souls caught up in a nether land, not good enough to enter heaven, nor bad enough to deserve hell. Such a place is frequently referred to as limbo.
3. These creatures are the fallen angels. They were among the angels loyal to Lucifer. They were cast out of heaven with him to plunge into hell, but suddenly God stopped them in mid-flight and condemned them to remain where they were. Some were in the air, some in the earth and some in the seas and rivers. Such belief is widespread in folklore of Ireland, Scotland, and Scandinavia.
4. They are nature spirits. Somewhat analogous to the fallen-angel theory, this theory holds that they are among the many spirits that populate all things and places in the earth.
5. They are diminutive human beings. There is evidence that small-structured races populated parts of Europe and the British Isles in the Neolithic and Bronze Ages, before the spread of the Celts. In Ireland, they were known as the Thuathe de Danaan.
They resided in barrows and in shelters burrowed under hills and mounds. They were hard working but shy, and, as stronger peoples invaded their land and captured their iron weaponry, they retreated to the woodlands to live a secretive life. Being pagan, they continued to worship the pagan deities. They were in union with nature and possessed keen psychic senses. Their skills and trades allowed them to lead somewhat normal lives while raising diminutive cattle and horses.
Belief in these mystical creatures is thought to exist in almost every culture throughout Fairy history and is most prevalent in Europe and the British Isles. This belief spread to America during the colonization period and is still strong in the Appalachians, Ozarks, and other remote mountainous regions.
The Story of Fairy Magic
There was once peace, harmony and happiness in the Upper Realm, that the little people and the big people shared. The little people (the fairies,) liked to help the big people (the humans) through their fairy magic. It brought the fairies pleasure and joy, to see the positive effect, that their fairy magic had on the big peoples’ lives. Joy and laughter abounded, but that was many many moons ago……………..
As we all know, humans and fairies, no longer live in the same realm or in on the same plain… some humans must still believe, even if only a little (and hope) that fairy magic really does exist, to find themselves reading a story such as this.
The humans now live in the upper plains and the fairies now live in the fairy realm, in the lower plains. The humans and fairies have lived separately for so long now, that very few humans now believe that fairies exist. This is what many fairies had hoped for, (but not all)…. there is still evidence of fairies and other little ‘strange’ folk such as pixies, but very little. For many humans this is just the talk of myth, legends, fairy tales and make believe and ultimately the fancies of children and simple folk.
No one knows why it all began to change: maybe it was because humans began to advance in technology and this left less room for fairy magic. The fairy chronicles recorded that fairy magic became something to be scoffed at, even loathed by the humans. To the adult humans, there was no comparison to what technology had to offer; they became increasingly drawn to what they understood and what was tangible. The humans also became increasingly suspicious, even frightened, of fairy magic. It should be noted the human children continued to enjoy and relish the ways of the fairies, but many were now forbidden to associate with the fairies and certainly they were not allowed to receive any gifts of fairy magic.
The fairy chronicles sadly show human attacks on fairies; they also recorded that by public decree, the wings were to be pulled off fairies and fairies were forbidden to practice fairy magic (the humans believed this would make the fairies more human). But fairy magic was what being a fairy was all about. However much the fairies loved the Humans, they felt that they could no longer live in peace, harmony and happiness with them. The Fairy Queen took the difficult decision to find another realm, away from the humans for the fairies to live in. Thus the Fairies, with sadness, left the realm they had shared so long with the humans and went to dwell in what is now known as the Fairy Kingdom. The Fairy Queen was so concerned for the safety of the little folk, she decreed that the fairies were forbidden to visit the upper plains where the humans lived. This was, as said before, many, many moons ago.
Some fairies did not want to sever all ties with the humans, especially with the human children. These fairies found a way to visit the upper planes by using fairy magic. They found that they could create fairy portals by going through the lower trunks of trees, especially old oak trees. The trees needed to be enchanted trees and these tended to be found in enchanted forests. If human folk took the time to look, they would be able to see evidence of these portals. Some still practiced fairy magic on the humans. The fairies especially liked to offer fairy magic to the human children; for example, silver sixpences left by the tooth fairy. Wishes were also granted when humans threw pennies into wells: the well water contained fairy magic, as the wells extended into the fairy realm in the lower planes. As we all know, these have became known as wishing wells.
The humans even penned stories, which became known as fairy tales, to tell their children of strange folk that used to live in the human realm. They made clear to the children, however, that these stories were only make believe. For example, the story of Jack and the Bean stalk in which Jack planted a magic bean: the magic bean contained fairy magic.
Signs that fairies visited the human realm sometimes could be found (for those that knew where to look). Fairy dust was one of these signs- a glittery substance that exuded from the fairies as they went about their business. Every now and again, humans caught a glimpse of a fairy, but when they reported these sightings they were thought to be deluded.
The Fairy Queen did not realise that for fairies and fairy magic to survive, humans needed to believe in fairies; so it is important that when humans make good wishes, the fairies should do their best to fulfil them and then, perhaps, more humans will believe in them.

Spell to See the Fairies
Fairy magic is a special talent that is seldom used. You must never ask a fairy to do a magic trick or cast a spell. If you ask, they will probably run away to hide. Once you make friends, sometimes a wish will be granted for a relative or friend, but only if you ask nicely and are a caring person. They respond to those that put the needs and wishes of others before their own.
Fairies are most often seen on nights between Midsummer, or Litha, and June 29. The best way to see fairies is to gather fern seed on the night of Midsummer. On June 27, make a wreath of fairies, thimble, otherwise known as foxglove. Go to your favorite spot in the woods just before sunset. Make a ring of stones, and build a fire in the ring. When the Sun dips below the horizon, rub the fern seed on your eyelids. Keep your thoughts away from the drudgery of the work-a-day world. Fill your thoughts with the beauty of the plants and trees around you. Dance around the fire. Do you see them?

Fairy Charm Spell
Fairies are respected and feared in Gaelic culture, accepted as a fact of life by a people acknowledging the mystic realm. Victorian visions of gossamer-winged lovelies are actually a romanticized version of the Sidhe, a fairy spirit-race believed by the Scotch/Irish to have powers to harm and confuse the vulnerable, and influence human fate. According to one charming Irish custom, when a child spills a drink at a picnic or outing, the adult refrains from scolding him or her, saying instead: Leave it to the fairies! Fairy lore asserts that fairies abhor a miserly spirit. To appease fairies in your life, leave small gifts of food and drink in your garden.

Fairy Invitation Ritual
To invite fairy creatures into your yard, try showing them the way. Choose a smooth surface, like a patch of bare earth or a patio, and lay out a circle of fairy footprints, that is, make a stencil by cutting tiny footprint shapes in a piece of paper. Lay the paper on the ground, and sprinkle it with sugar or some powdered milk. By Elizabeth Barrette
Poppies
Said to invoke the faery into your dreams, make a dream pillow of fresh poppies to entice the fae to your dreams.
Primrose
When planted in a garden or hung dried on the front door, primroses will attract the company of fairies. If you have them growing under your care, do not let them die! The fairy will be deeply offended by your carelessness. Primroses are great in container gardens. Tie a pink ribbon around your container of Primroses while chanting;
Roses
Roses attract the fairy to a garden. Their sweet scent will lure elemental spirits to take up residence close by. Roses can be used in fairy love spells. Roses are loved by the fey so you can plant Roses in your garden to attract fairies.
Thyme
Wearing thyme will increase your ability to see the Sidhe. Sprinkle it
at the base of your door, and on window sills to invite the fairy to
enter your home.
Mistletoe
The most sacred herb of the Druids, mistletoe is a magical activator. In fairy spells, use a dash of mistletoe taken on summer solstice to empower your workings with fairy magic.
Milkweed
Monarch butterflies and fairies like milkweed. If milkweed is planted in a witches garden, the fey will always be in the area. The silky tassels of the milkweed pods can be added to a dream pillow to not only make it softer but also to make you dream of fairies. In the autumn when the pods are bursting and the fluffy seeds are flying across the fields, a wish is granted for each seed that can be caught and then released again.
Lilac
The sweet scent is said to draw fae spirits to your garden. Lilac and primroses for midsummer's eve, will please the fae.
Heather
Heather is said to ignite fairy passions and open portals between their world and our own. Make an offering of heather on "Beltane" eve to attract good fae to your garden.
Foxglove
The source of the modern heart drug Digitalis, Foxglove can have seriously dangerous results if taken internally. DO NOT INGEST!! Instead, plant foxglove near your front door to invite the fairy in. Put a dried sprig of foxglove in a talisman to keep you surrounded in fairy light.
Bluebells
Said to attract fairies to dance in your garden. On Beltane eve, make an ankle bracelet of "Bluebells" and "jingle" bells to attract helpful fae folk to you.
Clover
A sacred fairy plant, clovers of all kinds will attract them. Lay seven grains of wheat on a four-leafed clover to see the fairy.
Elecampane
Also known as elfswort. This root can be scattered around the home to attract the Sidhe. It can be added to any magic or spell to invoke fairy blessing.
“Fairy tears” are the nickname for the crystal gemstone staurolite. Place these stones in flower pots dedicated to the fairies. Leave a bouquet of primroses on your doorstep or threshold overnight to invite the fairies to bless your home with happiness, luck and prosperity. Hawthorne trees are sacred to fairies. Gather fallen hawthorn leaves (do not remove leaves or wood from the living tree). Make an invocation to the fairies for magical assistance, auto protection, fertility, healing or whatever your desire. Bring the leaves home and place them beneath your mattress.
