The Devil card has several meanings that can be quite negative on first sight. The Devil symbolises temptation and addiction, which don't tend to lead to happy outcomes. But the Devil Tarot card is not all bad.
If marriage or commitment to a relationship is the subject of consideration and this card is turned in a favourable position in a Tarot Reading the card is a good omen. In relation to most other issues this card is not a very positive one.
The Devil card is a wake up call and acts as a warning to you of the dangers of being wrapped up in anything that is unhealthy – relationships, habits, and situations. However, sometimes, it can also represent that you need to relax and have a little fun and perhaps take a risk or two, but not to go too far.
It can also represent seduction and sex and being tempted to do things normally against your moral code.
